Adult Catechesis at St. Elias
Catechesis is the traditional discipline of instructing inquirers to the Christian faith about the basic teachings of the Church. Since the days of the early Church, a period of catechesis was required for all those who wished to be initiated into the mysteries of Christ through baptism and chrismation. Today at St. Elias, we usually hold Catechism and other adult religious education classes annually in the fall and winter, and occasionally throughout the year. Catechism is intended for those interested in exploring the Orthodox faith, but can also benefit those who are already Orthodox. We also offer "Orthodoxy 102" and other parish education opportunities throughout the year. Please check the calendar and announcements.
Below you will find some resources for our classes.
