  • Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Austin Graduate School of Theology, Austin, TX 2012

  • St. Stephen's Course Certificate (Antiochian House of Studies), 2022

 

Dn. Romanos converted to the Orthodox Church in 2012 and finds much joy in the Orthodox liturgical life. Since joining St. Elias Orthodox Church, he has been involved in chanting, was tonsured a Reader in 2015 and ordained to the Holy Diaconate on July 31st by Bishop THOMAS. Dn. Romanos is married to Sh. Jessica and they have 3 children, Joshua, Zoe, and Eliana. 

 

Get to know Dn. Romanos:

  • Carves Orthodox Icons and other liturgical art as well as plays music from time to time

  • Favorite Book: Our Thoughts Determine Our Lives: The Life and Teachings of Elder Thaddeus of Vitovnica and St. Silouan the Athonite because these two modern day saints have so much wisdom and speaks to us in our times.

  • Favorite Bible Quote: Philippians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
